Unmanned Asset Control: Using a simple
text-based Operational Command Language, the THOR system can
collaboratively task and monitor teams of heterogeneous assets
including UGVs, UAVs, unattended sensors, and IMS. Manual and
aided controls are also available to accommodate platform and
payload capabilities from teleoperation through full autonomy.
|
|
|
|
Modular, Scalable Interfaces: The THOR
system is developed around a common software core that is
extremely efficient, yet scalable to accommodate varying
mission requirements and SWAP constraints. The user interface
is automatically reconfigured to match different computing
resources and display resolutions. The THOR system has been
hosted on 3-screen control stations, single-screen systems,
tablets, PDAs, and wearable computing devices.
|
|
|
|
Distributed, Networked Architecture: The
THOR system can run a variety of different platforms and
operating systems, and automatically adapts to the amount of
computing resources available at each control node. If
computing power is not available locally, advanced
functionality can still be served over the network using
nearby assets. |
| |
|
Interoperable with Current and Future
Forces: THOR system components are inter-operable
allowing command and control of mission assets while
transparently collecting and processing field information for
visual display to the warfighter. External interfaces,
including current force ABCS family of systems via the Lower
Tactical Internet, and future force SOSCOE / Battle Command,
are achieved by using standard data link, network, transport,
and messaging protocols. |
